I'm stoked to be teaching again at the NABCEP conference. Next week in Reno.
This is one of the biggest highlights and honors of my life.
I love the NABCEP community. People that care about the technical details. People that are working for their communities.
My class is on Thursday, from 1pm to 4:30pm.
Here's the class's description:
This class will help you confidently model the energy and financial performance of electrification technologies. These technologies include: PV, batteries, heat pumps (and the building envelope), bi-directional EV charging, induction cooktops. And the software that manages these "flexible load" technologies.
The assumed goal is full energy independence for customer properties (with the electric grid as backup).
The class will briefly discuss utility rate plans, net metering, incentives (including the Inflation Reduction Act), property resale-value increase, financing, tax effects, etc. It'll also briefly discuss core financial concepts and metrics. Both residential and non-residential are covered (but Mike's head is more in residential).
Mike will do his best to make the class engaging, memorable, and actionable.
